Jammell gives thanks every day

It’s a terrible feeling being homeless. It’s hitting rock bottom. You find out who really cares about you when you’re homeless.

I was sleeping in a friend’s garage. You don’t know where your next meal is going to come from. But at City Gospel Mission, you’ll never go hungry.

And it is a blessing being here because they help you in so many ways. They help you with housing. Help you get on your feet. If you’re trying to get the Lord back into your life, this is the place to start at. You’re always around church people. And they’ll help you get back on that right track.

There is not a day that goes by that I don’t thank God for being here.

I’m just waiting for my housing to be approved. It should be any time now. This will be the first time having my own place. There is nothing like it. I can’t wait.

My hope is that once I have my apartment, I’ll never have to experience homelessness again.

For everyone who has donated to City Gospel Mission, I thank you all very, very much. When people come to the Mission a lot of them don’t have anything but the clothes on their back. There are a lot of people here who really could use the help. No matter what it is, they appreciate it.

You all have really shown me how good God is. God bless you, and God bless us all.
