The dancers performing in ToyMaker’s Daughter are part of the Princesses Ballet program, a transformative initiative run by City Gospel Mission. Since its inception in 2003, the program has served hundreds and hundreds of girls, and has grown to currently serve about 500 girls aged 3 to 18 across Greater Cincinnati. These young ballerinas, from low-income families, receive free dance lessons, building character, self-esteem, and discipline through a mentoring approach. In this ballet, they showcase not just their talent, but their personal stories of growth and resilience.
